“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”– Isaiah 9:6

Congratulations because another Christmas is here. Christmas isn't just another festive period, it is the commemoration of the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. We shouldn't miss the point because Christmas is more than mere merriment and festivity (Isaiah 14:12-14; Revelation 10:7-12). Since the day man fell, God started to provide a way out to redeem man; the one that would come had to be sinless, to come to represent the whole world. In essence, the birth of Jesus means the end of the dominion of Satan over man because the day Adam fell, he legally handed over the right of man to the devil. Perhaps you are here today and Satan is still trying to lay hold over any area of your life, today power will change hands in Jesus name, Amen! I pray that any government contrary to the government of the Holy Spirit in your life will be dethroned today.

Rejoice power has changed hands because immediately Christ was born, Satan knew his grip on our destiny has been put right. What went wrong with Adam and Eve, Jesus came in form of flesh and blood to out it right (Psalms 11:3). The King of kings, the Lord of lords and the righteous one came to mend, repair and restore that which we have lost. Since the day Adam fell, everything has been wrong in man’s life but thank God Christ came and the day He was born everything was put right. The day Adam fell, it wasn't a death of leaving the earth, but that of separation from God. Jesus came to bridge the gap between God and man. Doesn't this call for celebration? Because this has been the greatest need of man. Our greatest need was freedom because man was in bondage under Satan. Man was under the oppression, domination and servitude of the devil. Thank God for sending us a saviour in form of man who can carry the burden (John 3:16).

On this Christmas Day, celebrate and remember the less privileged. Be bold to declare to the devil that his government over your life is ended because the reason the Son of Man came is to destroy the works of the devil (Isaiah 61:1,1 John 3:8). That is why year 2017 will be our year of Outpouring of the Spirit of God for Divine Empowerment.

Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor. It must be demanded by the oppressed. You must demand for your freedom. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus today, a new government has taken over. The government of peace, joy, victory, prosperity, and fruitfulness. With this in heart, live the rest of this year with that consciousness, that you are no longer under the old regime, a new government has taken over. You are no longer sick; you are no longer poor the era of poverty has ended; no longer jobless you are enjoying the best of the land; I am no longer under any bondage, I am a free man.
